Your summer writing support

starts 6th July 2026

Summer Writing Programme

Join me for a self-paced writing programme to support you with your summer writing goals. The course consists of ten weeks of writing prompts, accompanied by a weekly co-writing call, and supported through three group coaching sessions for the cohort. The live calls are all recorded and sent to you if you can’t attend.

This programme is for you if:

  • You are writing about a hard topic and starting to feel overwhelmed
  • You are working in challenging circumstances and find yourself struggling to write
  • You want to write to process hard things and need some support

The course is primarily designed for people who are already writing (memoirists, authors, researchers, PhD candidates) and the prompts reflect that, but anybody is welcome.

Last year’s cohort were writing about – research on parasitic wasps, a memoir of chronic illness, an article about childhood in post-war Rwanda, a project on prison reform policy, a monograph about medieval princesses, the collections of a museum in Edinburgh, and a monograph about nineteenth century settlements.

The programme:

Our first five weeks together cover: getting started; cognitions about writing; life mapping our writing; meeting our parts; and making meaning.

In the second half of the programme we focus more on content, covering: compassion; the vulnerable observer; holding space; silence; and finally, carrying on.

All live calls are recorded for those who can’t or prefer not to attend. You have until a month after the conclusion of the programme to watch all the sessions. The prompts are yours to keep and reuse to continue your writing journey.

Who am I?

I am a fully qualified coach, former academic and trauma researcher, sometimes writer. This programme is my response to the main challenges faced by my writing clients in the 4 years I have been coaching. It reflects my practice as a neuroscience informed therapeutic coach, working with the client to understand their body and brain first, before developing individual skills and goals. I don’t offer a quick fix for writing challenges, instead I help my clients to ground, process, and integrate so that they can find a sustainable and enjoyable writing practice.

Cost:

  • Just the course: £125
  • Course PLUS a 90 minute personal coaching session with me: £200

I try to keep costs as low as possible whilst still reflecting the value of the offering, as I want my courses to be accessible in challenging times.

How to join:

Nothing simpler! Just hit the button below to register your details and pay. You’ll get an email from me confirming (it might take up to 24 hours for that to arrive) and another the week before the course starts in July. There are maximum six places left for this year.
